The Weekend

I worked on Saturday night and when I got home around 8 p.m. I pushed Todd out the door with one of his friends to enjoy the night out. I just wanted to lay around the house and enjoy the kids and the evening.

I put Morgan down around 8:45 and by 9:30 she was crying. Really unusual for her to wake up at night. I went in and picked her up, realized she had soaked through her clothes and took her out to the living room to change her.

Low and Behold..that was not a wet diaper..no no no..couldn't be that simple. Poor Morgan had thrown up all over herself. Now I was having flashbacks to when we left for Ohio for Christmas vacation with myself just getting over the flu, and two puking kids in the back seat. For 16 hours I heard "Mommy! I need a towel..and "ucky mommy"

So, for the next 8 hours I held Morgan while she vomitted every 10 minutes or so. Poor thing! I finally called Todd at 2 a.m. to bring some pedilyte home if he was able to walk into a store at that point!

Todd came home close to 3 a.m. Two jugs of Pedilyte in hand and I was in the chair with a sick kid and our son who had woken up and was playing the Wii. What a night! Sunday seemed to be better for her. She woke up with a fever, but was running around feeling pretty good.

I got her out of bed this morning (Monday) and she wanted something to drink. She wasn't up 10 minutes when the puking started again...WHAT A DAY!

So, I just layed her down for her nap and am off to wash the stink of puke and diarrhea off of me. Gotta love that no one warns you about this before you get pregnant..haha!

  1. Absolutely love having sick children. I think what is worse though is when they get it first...and about the time they start feeling better, you get sick. URGH! The joys of being a mommy!!
